DeepSite v3 Local Installation Guide
System Requirements
Before we begin, ensure your system meets these requirements:
- Linux-based OS (Ubuntu 20.04+ recommended)
- Docker Engine installed
- Docker Compose v2.0+
- Minimum 4GB RAM (8GB recommended)
- 50GB free disk space
- Stable internet connection
Install Docker & Dependencies
# First, install Docker using your package manager # For Ubuntu/Debian: sudo apt update sudo apt install -y docker.io docker-compose # For CentOS/RHEL: sudo yum install -y docker docker-compose-plugin # For Arch Linux: sudo pacman -S docker docker-compose # Start and enable Docker service sudo systemctl enable --now docker # Add your user to docker group (no sudo needed) sudo usermod -aG docker $USER newgrp docker # Verify installation docker run hello-world
After running these commands, Docker should be installed. The "hello-world" container should run successfully.
Download DeepSite v3
# Create project directory mkdir deepsite-v3 && cd deepsite-v3 # Create minimal docker-compose.yml cat > docker-compose.yml <

- Create admin account with secure credentials
- Configure your first site settings
- Set up local backup directory (recommended: /path/to/backups)
- Complete security checklist in admin panel
Note: First-time setup may take several minutes as the system initializes all components.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues:
Port conflicts: Change port 8080 in docker-compose.yml if needed.
Database issues: Wait 2-3 minutes for MySQL initialization.
Key generation: Must run 'php artisan key:generate' after first launch.
# Restart services docker-compose restart # Rebuild containers docker-compose up -d --build # Stop all containers docker-compose stop # Start stopped containers docker-compose start # Full reset (deletes all data) docker-compose down -v # Backup database docker-compose exec mysql mysqldump -u deepsite_user -psecure_password deepsite > backup.sql # Restore database cat backup.sql | docker-compose exec -T mysql mysql -u deepsite_user -psecure_password deepsite
